What is strengths-based coaching?

Clifton StrengthsFinder is a powerful tool to gain awareness of our unique strengths and talents.

Once we recognize what comes most naturally and easily to us, we can design plans to utilize those strengths to achieve our individual and team goals.  Working from a place of strength is energizing and focusing on strength gives us our greatest potential for growth and peak performance.

As a Gallup-certified Strengths coach, Rachel is highly skilled in assisting individuals and teams in understanding and applying their insights so that they can make rapid progress towards their goals.

"Interestingly, most of us are aware of some of our strengths.  However, what we are truly best at, comes so naturally, is so innate for us, that we often don't even recognize it as a strength.  Imagine the power and energy that can be found when we harness these greatest gifts."

When can a coach help?

A coach can help...

  • to orchestrate major life changes such as setting up a business, starting a new role, retiring, graduating
  • to offer expert guidance on career advancement
  • to leverage your strengths and talents
  • to achieve work-life balance

What is a coaching session like?

We take stock of your current situation and clarify your vision.

I ask questions designed to challenge your assumptions, encourage your own insights and explore your options.  I have a series of tools and techniques to help clarify what is most important to you and why.

Once we know what it is you truly want to achieve and why, we create a realistic, actionable plan to get you there.   This will include identifying skills that need to be mastered, obstacles that need to be overcome, new relationships and opportunities that must be harnessed.  You will be challenged to focus on certain actions which lay the foundations for your success. We review your progress and make necessary adjustments until you reach your desired results.

We can meet in person or by phone or videocall.

Is there proof coaching works?

Yes! The International Coach Federation Global Coaching Client Study shows most clients noted greater self-confidence, enhanced relationships, more effective communications skills, better work-and-life balance and an improvement in wellness.  The same study found that coaching clients reported improved work performance, better business management, more efficient time management, increased team effectiveness, and more growth and opportunities.
